Company History

April 1950 Company founder Shigeo Tokuno privately started business at Ta 241, Terai, Terai-machi, Nomi-gun, Ishikawa Prefecture, where he mainly performed bolt-related production
October 1955 Factory moved to Ha 111, Terai, Terai-machi, Nomi-gun, Ishikawa Prefecture
Started producing bearing components and chain components (mainly processing of plates)
July 1967 Incorporated as Tokuno Manufacturing Co., Ltd. with a capital of 5 million yen
October 1967 Established an integrated production line for conveyor chains, thereby shifting business to the production of conveyor chains
July 1977 Increased capital to 10 million yen
May 1980 Expanded business into the field of storage and transport equipment
June 1984 Introduced in-house sheet metal processing equipment
March 1990 Moved the factory completely to its current location (Nishi 2-1, Ao-machi, Nomi-shi, Ishikawa Prefecture) following the development of the Ao Industrial Park
February 1991 Founder Shigeo Tokuno appointed as the Company Chairman, and Shinya Tokuno appointed as the Company President
October 1992 Increased capital to 20 million yen
December 1995 Built the Factory No.2 for welding and conveyor unit installation on the same premises
Installed an automatic high-rise warehouse for the purpose of parts management
July 1999 Started promotion to expand sales of conveyor chains
June 2000 Introduced two CNC lathes for the purpose of small-lot production of a wide variety of conveyor chains and shorter lead times
October 2000 Published the first edition of our conveyor chain product catalog
December 2004 Accredited with ISO9001:2000 certification, and have continued being certified thereafter
June 2007 Renewed company administration and production systems to improve back-office efficiency
November 2007 Held a commemorative ceremony in honor of the 40th anniversary of company establishment
August 2008 Built a conveyor chain assembly factory
March 2009 Accredited with ISO14001:2004 certification, and have continued being certified thereafter
April 2010 Implemented production improvement activities to enhance productivity
February 2011 Shinya Tokuno appointed as the Company Chairman, and Nobuhiko Tokuno appointed as the Company President
June 2011 Exhibited at 15th Mechanical Components & Materials Technology Expo (M-Tech) at Tokyo Big Sight
December 2011 Introduced a 300-ton press
April 2012 Created the company's first website
